sirens whispering softly in my ear
praising, praise me for all that i have done
trying to sway me away from everyone
the ocean casts over me
stuck in bed like im stranded at sea
siren songs dance around my head
swirling, replacing memories i had
and i drift off and seperate fantasy from reality
ecstasy cascading me, rocking me gently to sleep
suffering in salt, burning off the skin, incomplete
the absence of love filling up the void left in me
head inside the sand, choking on my words, incomplete
im losing myself but just cant admit it
thats all i hear,
and it swirls inside my head
strangers stir the medicine
wondering what was meant for me
gulp it down like a mountain spring
pour one out for heaven, me
swimming in circles, searching for something
bright eyes, wanderlust, but i find nothing
innocent mechanically
using words to ease the pain
feelings are such comedy
next time ill look out for it

and when the wave returns, im whole again
you cant cut off, the people that were close to it
and stay settled on just remembering
